Solar System Activities
Learning About the Planets – We are going to enjoy the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum’s Exploring the Planets Online Exhibition.
Painting – Since Lala’s favorite activity is painting, we are going to look carefully at van Gogh’s Starry Night and see what kind of fun we can have painting our own… Check out the painting at the Google Cultural Institute.
We may also try Shirley’s Preschool Activities Starry Night Glitter Craft.
Rocket Science – I am going to get Mic to help us with a Water Rocket Construction from NASA Education! For more info, check out the complete lesson plan – Rockets Educator Guide – including instructions for the rocket launcher!
NASA has a Rocket Science 101 app that allows you to build and launch rockets too! Check it out on your smart phone!
