We have created a new Chansen Academy Resource Page… Books We Love!
We love books here at Chansen Academy and wanted to share our favorite ones! They range from traditional choices to hilarious new adventures… 🙂 Here are a few of the selections. (The images below are Amazon affiliate links. If you use them to make any purchases, we will receive a small commission. For more information, please see our Legal Stuff page. Links will open in new tabs.)
Good Night Galaxy by Adam Gamble – This is one of my favorite books in the Good Night World Series – This amazing series highlights some of the interesting features of each book’s title topic.
Oh, The Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss – This may honestly be my favorite book…
When I Grow Up by Al Yankovic – Really cute book, especially if you are a fan of Weird Al!
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak – I love the language and cadence of this scarily sweet story of naughtiness, naps, and never-ending love.
To see the rest of the books we enjoy, check out the Books We Love! page.
As we find new ‘books we love,’ they will be featured in one of our Friday “Book of the Week” Facebook posts and added to the Books We Love! page. Check back often for new additions! Please send us any suggestions you have and we will take a look at them! We love books!
Today was an out and about day… 😀
We started with a trip to a local bounce house place. My kids love those places. Wait… who am I kidding… Mic and I love ’em too! He was able to take his lunch and join us for a little while. We had a great time with our homeschool meet-up group. The plan had been for a park play date, but it got changed because of the ‘unsettled’ weather. You can’t beat $10 for 90 minutes of jumping and playing. And I fulfilled my deal to take Lala to the bounce house place, rather than doing the bounce houses at the kite festival… Yay for a mommy score! 😉
The ball pit is Tbear’s favorite place. It is delightful to watch him jump fearlessly in the pit and grin when the balls scatter.
Lala is so strong!
Up they go! And back down fast!
Anyways, that was the first part of the day… 🙂 J is for Jump…
We followed-up with… dance class! (Well… we swung through the Taco Bell drive-through for a couple of dollar green drinks on our way… 😉 )
There are only a couple more classes before Lala’s spring recital. This will be our first one. I am excited to see how it goes! Tbear really wants to go dance with his sister during class. I had to let him watch something on my phone to get him to sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes without taking the place apart today… 😉 D is for Dance…
The kids napped on the way home. And promptly wanted to go ride their bikes as soon as they woke up at home! These kids are addicted to being outside. We made them come in for dinner and then they promptly wanted to go right back out! 🙂 O is for Outside…
It was a great day! I am exhausted… The kids are still raring to go!
I just posted our “Legal Stuff” page. It turns out that under Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and regulations, all websites and blogs are required to disclose the ways they make money (or at least attempt to do so!) and protect the privacy of those who visit their sites.
These kinds of things make me so nervous! I don’t want to end up in any trouble because of my crazy idea to start a homeschooling website… Nor do I want to confuse or mislead anyone! When you have a minute, please check out the page. There’s even some info about getting your free credit reports… 😉
I’m working on figuring out all the fun social media stuff, starting with connecting my blog to Facebook… This post is a test of the Publicize option in WordPress… Have a great day! 😉
Our first blog post! Yay!
